SABAH BENZIADI |
|
Sabah
was born in Algeria and as a child
studied with her mother and
grandmother who were both dancers. She gave her first performance at the age of
10 in "National Theatre of Alger”
The early part of
her career which in Algeria. She arrived in Europe in 1989, first in Germany and
later in Italy where
she lived from 1991 and was the first person to introduce belly dancing in Sicily. Sabah has been able, through her
innovative interpretations and the grace of her performances, to demonstrate widely her ability and has developed a
repertoire of work comprised of various types of dances that are unified under
the term "Oriental / Eastern Dance.

As a Artist Sabah has enjoyed success all over the world not because of the
sensation created by her dancers and her choreography but more by the grace of the dancers’
movements which suggest an atmosphere of magic and a celebration of life.
She has participated in numerous international festivals and cultural
demonstrations, has won the "Award for Merit" at the "Festival of Babylon"
in Iraq and has participated in various international television programmes
She has also danced in many other countries, including Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria
and many Arabic land , with the Dance companys of Fuhais and Al Husson (Jordan), Shams, Fircat Adel,
Adnan Muhammad Mounir Hayzya (Egypt), Najma, Jawala, Takouba and Hagar (Tuareg), Hayzya and
many other artists from Algeria, Ramjalah (Dubai), Mouna Amari The shapes of the sand Musics di:Matteo Pittino
and Giovanni Sollimaand Fathi Al Karwi (Tunisia) and Nikos Toualitos (Greece).
She has also collaborated in productions in Italy and abroad with the Italian singer "Franco Battiato" and
the Algerian singer "Cheb Khaled" e Mahmoud Said. She’s author of the opera "A Thousand and A Veil" which was performed
in Arabic, Italian and French at the Greek Theatre of Taorminaduring "Tao Art 2004"

The dancer SABAH BENZIADI is one of the few dancers and choreographers to take the presentation
of Eastern and Belly dance form outside the conventional tourist circuit and cabaret shows.
Through her performances and teaching she has respectfully represented the canons and traditions of
the ancient dances of the Arabic world.At the end of the Stage course you will be presented with
a certificate from the
Academy of Eastern Dances.
